NEC SV8100 IP PABX

We currently are working hand-in-hand with our subsidiary Grune Stadt Sdn Bhd on a project for JST in Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) Johor.
JST is a leading electronic and electronic interconnecting devices manufacturer with global operations in Japan, many parts of Asia, Australia, Europe and America.

According to Wikipedia, the term PBX (Private Branch Exchange) was first applied when switchboard operators ran company switchboards by hand. As automated electromechanical and then electronic switching system gradually began to replace the manual system, the terms PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) was form. Solid state digital systems were sometimes referred to as EPABX (Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange). Now, the term PBX is by far the most widely recognized. The acronym is now applied to all types of complex, in-house telephony switching systems.

In this current project, we are installing NEC SV81 IP PABX. It will link to the building Public Address (PA) System where, the station user can easily access to the announcement system (PA) for paging via their existing phone set. The system has built-in with a wide range of standard features such as multiple class of call barring to prevent abuse of phone usage thus saves on bills. Multiple tenant grouping allow departments control of call pick-up, incoming (external & internal) call ring hunting as well as summarize of department phone bills (with optional Call Accounting Software). Caller ID on display phones, speed dial and many more features.
